The Wish Acorn Pendant From Discoballsanddandelions

This is a creation I’ve made from all separate components so truly original and handmade

The little acorn base is made from resin and cured in to an acorn base silicone  mould which has a few wishes encapsulated in it

I’ve added a little bead cap and a hanger which hangs beautifully from a feminine  soft lilac faux suede like cord

This is a unique design creation  to Discoballsanddandelions so each one is individual and  different

This comes with a little Jute Pouch

Acorn Meaning

Symbol of Youth, Health, Longevity, Spiritual Growth/Unlimited Potential, Power, Prosperity, and Good Luck

Originated from Scandinavia

Folklores/Superstitions: Legend has it that Thor, the god of thunder, once sought safety under an oak tree during a storm. Ever since then, oak trees were thought to be under Thor’s protection. Scandinavians believed that putting an acorn on the windowsill would protect a home from lightning strikes – a gesture of respect to the Thunder God. In those ancient days, lightening was thought to strike or enter one’s dwelling through the window.

Another old folk belief states that carrying an acorn brings the wearer good fortune, and can even prevent ageing. In fact, there was a time when women would carry them around in their pockets, in the belief that the acorns would keep them looking young.

Dandelion Meaning

The amazing life-cycle of dandelion is used symbolically to show the stages of life, seasons, life changes & every transformation.

It is also considered to be a spiritual flower... the yellow flower is the sun, the white fluffy the moon and the seeds that fly away with the wind, the stars.

The dandelion reminds us of our childhood and memories of innocence and freedom. It plays with the wind, and uses it to help it grow and unfold. And then, with this trust, like a small cloud that has no purpose of it’s own or direction, it waits for the rain to help it get grounded and come back to life.

The dandelion has so much to teach us about trusting and being natural. We always think that we have to make things happen, and this is true in a way - we have to trust ourselves and make decisions - , but we must trust nature and life as well.

In my opinion, this is the lesson of the dandelion life cycle.  Because of this adaptation and change, the dandelion flower can be seen even where the soil is poor and insufficient.
